Xinlei is possibly the best cheap date I've ever come across. Since our boyfriends didn't want us (how pathetic does that sound?) we went out yesterday night. We went to the mall and did not buy anything, then we went to Tapioca Express and got FREE PEACH ICYS because she is hooked up like that. ANYWAY. I ended up sleeping in Christy's bed (minus Christy) that night since April and Christy had both gone home for the weekend.
My roommates are probably my favorite people at school. It's a nice change from last year.
I was thinking the other day that maybe I shouldn't drink even after I turn 21. I find that I'm prone to stuff like overeating when I get depressed (which is actually quite often) and I fear that I may be one of those people who turns to the bottle to cope with hard times. I really have no willpower.
I need to exercise :( I looked into the mirror and saw an icky mess. I think I've gained weight, but I'm afraid to get on the scale and find out. Ignorance is bliss, you know.

SANTA ANA – Police arrested a 17-year old boy Tuesday night after a chase in which three police cars were damaged and a stolen SUV pocked with bullet holes from police gunfire.
Nobody was injured in the incident, which began at about 10 p.m. when police were called to the 100 block of North Jackson Street on a report that shots had been fired. Arriving officers spotted a Chevrolet Suburban, which they believed to be stolen, driving through an alley, and they attempted to stop it, police said.
The driver of the Suburban rammed a police car, and one officer fired several shots at the SUV as it sped away.
A pursuit continued for several miles. The driver apparently lost control and stopped at the intersection of Newhope Street and McFadden Avenue. He then rammed two police cars when they approached the intersection. The officers then arrested the driver without further incident, police said.
The driver, a 17-year-old male, was not identified because of his age, and possible charges were not released. Police said no weapon was recovered, and it was uncertain whether the teen was connected to the initial report of gunshots.
I was driving home Tuesday night and I saw all these freakin' police cars in the intersection and was mighty curious so I looked it up. And that's what happened.
The end.

I'm seriously exhausted...I've been exhausted since Japanese which was at eleven. I don't really want to go to sleep right now though.
But I'm going to.

It's superlate right now. I'm doing math homework and drinking instant coffee.
It's raining. I kind of like it. It breaks the deafening silence of the wee hours without distracting me from my work.
Plus it makes me feel cozy.
It feels weird knowing that bf was my first real Valentine ever. It's also hard to believe that this past vday was only our second and that before that Valentine's day was just another day really. Before that I suppose I was just a recluse...?
Or maybe I was a little too picky.
A little too chicken?
Or maybe just a big bitch....heheh. I don' t know. I would say all of the above.
I was kinda (really) dorky in high school. Not that I'm not now, but I think it's less of an issue in college which is all in all pretty nice :) High school was just plain silly.
But the free books were great :)

And now that I am blogging on the Mac I can do the mp3 thing that the XtraLarge one had on her LJ :)
step 1: open your mp3 player
step 2: put all of your music on random.
step 3: write down the first ten songs it plays, no matter how embarrassing
1) Jimmy Eat World - The Middle
2) Lauryn Hill - Ex Factor
3) Luther Vandross - Can I Take You Out Tonight
4) Franz Schubert - Unfinished Symphony
5) Akinyele - Put It In Your Mouth
6) Khachaturian - Gayaneh-Lullaby
7) Pachebel - Canon in D (arranged for koto)
8) Gustav Holst - Second Suite in F
9) Big Tymers - Still Fly (Dirty)
10) Lucy Pearl - Dance Tonight
I'm sleepy.

Okay so I watched Suicide Club/Circle today and all I have to say is wtf??? I still don't get the ending...like...everything didn't quite come together for me.
I have to say though, the movie was supertwisted and even funny at times. You should all watch it....
...and then explain the ending to me.

There are literally four other people in lab right now. Okay make that five. And one of them is the lab assistant. And another one is that guy i talked about on march fifth last year (i'm too lazy to link it)
so hungry but no time to eat :(

My dad gave me an electric toothbrush. I can't seem to use it without drooling.
I now have mouthwash in my mouth. For some reason, I have this urge to swallow it. I'm going to go spit it out now.
Oh dear....are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Let's not go there.
I didn't really have time to shower.
But I showered anyway because I'm not that kind of ICS-er (I Can't Shower).
I'm so fresh, so clean.
Okay bye.

Me going crazy after an SAT section last summer...
Me: They just won't talk...sometimes I don't know what to do with them you know? I want to make it interesting, but even though most of them say they're there by choice, sometimes it just really doesn't seem like it. It's hard to teach when they're just sitting there and staring at you.
Ms. B: Yeah I know how those kids can be. So Amy, how did you deal with your section today?
Amy: I just made them read.
Ms. B: Aren't they pretty unresponsive?
Amy: Yeah. (shrugs) I don't care.
Ms. B: (laughing) The mark of a good teacher!
I was just reading Caroline's journal and came across her entry about teaching (2/13/04). You know what, her physics teacher was so right. You really have to choose your battles and know when all your efforts will be futile. Some things just aren't worth all of the frustration and guilt. That's where I fall short, and that, I think, is the real reason why I don't think I could become a teacher. The pressure of feeling that I need to reach every single student and the inevitable disappointment that is sure to follow when I don't succeed would probably wear me down after just one year. The thing is, some kids just don't want to be helped. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Whatever the case, I don't think I'm really cut out for a teaching career.
Going to a koto thing for Schurr today. I personally don't care for the performer's music (shhhh =X) but the proceeds benefit the SHS band (I think) plus she's using one of my kotos (she needed three but she owns only two). What I don't understand is why on earth did my parents have her borrow the crappy one that I wrote on when I was nine instead of the nice one that isn't older than I am?
Whatev. I have a lab that I don't know how to do. Peace out.

It's that time of the quarter again!
Time to register for classes!
I had an interview for a part-time job at Eugene's company last week. They told me that they'd call me to set up a second interview but they haven't called yet...you don't think they'd tell me that and not call...or would they...?
Anyway, I just need to know whether I need to accomodate their crazy hours (6-10am) when I schedule my classes. But yes...
Is it just me or are Japanese the least attractive Asians out there? I'm not saying that attractive Japanese don't exist, I'm talking about in general.
Okay...I think I should be doing something productive...I promised myself that I'd get some work done at work ;P There's a first for everything.
Goo goo goo and ta ta.

I just finished boiling pasta so I'll have something to eat when I get back from school later today. I have a class at 3:30 (it's 2:45 right now) and I don't know what time I'll be getting back. There is just too freakin' much to do this week :(
There was no tutoring today so I have a big break between classes. So I came back here (obviously). I feel kind of crappy.
I look awful right now. What happened?

Man I don't know what I was talking about in that previous entry...I think I was on crack. ANYWAY.
Ra came back this weekend! He and Hoho drunk-dialed me on Saturday (except Hoho wasn't drunk) asking me if I wanted to go to dinner and a huka bar (I think there are two ways of spelling it...but hooka/hookah looks too much like "hooker" so I'm going to use the "u" version...). We ended up not going to the bar (I had a lot of crap to do this weekend) which, in retrospect, I'm kind of glad about. I don't know what I was thinking when I agreed to go =X
I might end up going anyway next time Ra comes down...I'll think about it when the time comes.
Ra gave me a jacket. I don't know what to wear it with. I don't know how to dress...I'm an ICS major ;P
Do you believe in the existence of Catholic guilt? I do.
peace out homies

Mmm....I no longer have to gaze enviously at April's humungoid box of gum because I now have two mongo boxes of my own, courtesy of my dear bf :D
I kicked everything off with a pack of eclipse polar ice. Yummy. I'm such a gum-whore.
Oh yeah...did anyone else notice that someone signed my guestbook with nice rack!?? wtf??

Happy Friday the 13th!!
One midterm down and one to go...
...for today anyway.
My lips are dry.

Mm so here I am in class again. I'm sick. And I'm tired. I'm sick and tired.
Here's a strange link that my mom sent to me the other day. The new version is under construction, but the old version is still up. Just keep clicking around. You'll need a Flash player for this one.
This past week has been exhausting. Two midterms this week and three next week (Japanese is a two-parter). Kit did come in late on Saturday, but he brought me food so it's okay ;D They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Well I'm not a man, but I still like to be fed :D He bought pizza later that day. I left for home full and happy.
I totally spaced on our monthly anniversary on Sunday, but it's okay because I think he did too. It's been 19 months. Hooooly crap.
I'm hungry :(

|
Man was I tired last night :P I can't function properly with less than three hours of sleep, but I stayed up past twelve anyway. Kit went to Casino Morongo last night with one of his friends from high school. He called me when he got back...at four in the morning ;P It woke me up, but I wasn't going to pick up because it was freakin' four in the morning but then the voicemail tone started playing and I started to get worried (had something happened?) so I crawled out of bed and checked my voicemail. He just called to tell me that he was going to come in late to work. Now you're probably wondering why I would have my phone on at full volume while I'm sleeping. It's because if I turn the volume down or if I turn it off, the alarm won't go off. Stupid phone.
Here's a neato ad generator that I got from David. I even gave you a word to get you started.
Thanks for breakfast Icky :)

Girls are evil.
Not all girls are evil. Besides, guys can be evil too.
No they're not. They're too dumb to be evil.
*laughing* I'll take that.

“If I had made it through, I would have had to travel to Hollywood and audition, audition and audition some more, and miss weeks of my classes. I seriously hadn’t planned for that,”-William Hung for the Daily Cal
Hahahhhahah man that quote plus the enormous backpack he had on...he is such an engineer...!
|
|
They were watching this during class and I was like WTF mate so yeah then afterwards I found a link to it on his page and now I know.
Might want to have your speakers turned on for this one.
And here's proof that Berkeley kids are quite odd (they're freshmen...like my brother =0)
That link was from neenerface :D
I want that video of William Hung...you know...the "She Bangs" guy from American Idol :D Also a Berkeley kid...but this one is MY age (as opposed to my brother's).
Speaking of banging....
I saw that for the first time last year at work with NO SOUND. Yeap...didn't really make any sense. So yes you need to have your speakers on for that one. Chances are, you've probably seen it. I just linked it because I can't remember whether I linked it already or not. ARRR.

Oh yeah and did I mention that my loving boyfriend managed to kick me in the face twice while trying to crawl through the armrest of the futon Saturday night? When I reminded him of that today, he told me it was my fault for getting in his way when he was trying to crawl through. I was trying to get him to stop because I knew he wasn't going to fit. And then he got stuck.

Sorry, that blog below was rushed since I did it during my fifteen minute break.
This weekend consisted of me falling asleep at 8:30 Friday night due to a loooong talk with Styna the previous night, working for eight hours on Saturday and then showing up somewhat later than anticipated to Justin's birthday dinner due to a wallet that I thought I had lost (but hadn't). After the dinner almost everyone headed over to Henry's place for some drinking and more drinking. He had quite a bit to drink...it was his 21st birthday after all. He kept apologizing for acting dumb...but in all honesty I think I get twice as bad at 3-4 in the morning without alcohol =\ I have two fears when it comes to drinking: the biggest fear is that I will throw up. I hate throwing up. Fear number two? That I'll do something really really stupid like take my shirt off and dance on the tabletop with a mixing bowl on my head. I mean come on, if I act like a moron sober, what am I going to be like drunk? Or maybe I'll end up being the polar opposite--an angry/depressed drunk. I hope not =P
Well, the night ended with me driving my tipsy and (very) talkative boyfriend back to his place and then heading home. I got home around 3:30am, just a few minutes before my mom did (!) I ended up oversleeping the next morning (woke up at around 10:15) and had to rush to Nishi without a shower. Neener had texted me asking if I was coming, but Sprint sucks. Hence, why I never get texts.
Sunday night was coffee with Hoho and Sara. We ended up drinking it in her car in the parking lot since, for some reason, that particular Starbucks appeared to have about a million tables and maybe 10 chairs. Oh well. Did you know that Myntz! look like nipples? Speaking of which have you heard about...? (you know what I'm talking about)
Blargh. I'm not naked but I sure as hell am soaking wet. When I left the library it was pouring. It kept raining harder and harder until I got to my car ;P
D: Will you be slipping out of those wet clothes and into a dry martini?
No, but I did bust a Styna and changed into pj pants and a sweatshirt the instant I got to my room, something I almost never do.
Kit brought me fresh pineapple from home (yummy). I think I'll eat that while I wait for my leftover pasta to heat up (in the oven not the microwave...following her instructions).

Some evil bitch called in at work and ended up hanging up on me. Blargh.
