I don't take off my clothes for money (although I might do it for free if you ask nicely)
It's a new year, and what better subject to post about than NEW SHOES?
Actually there are a billion other things that would be better to write about but I'm too freaking tired to think of anything else. Plus these shoes are kind of awesome. And by awesome I mean trampy. And by trampy I mean skanky.
But seriously, these heels are fierce. Fiercely difficult to walk in even though they have a fierce platform to help with the fierce stiletto. I'm pretty sure they're going to cause a fierce fall and possibly some seriously fierce twisted ankles or something but it's so worth it. I love huge heels even though they make me look like a vaguely ridiculous underage streetwalker playing in her momma's (momma is also a streetwalker what other kind of momma has heels like this) shoes. Whatever dammit. I love a high heel. These put me at almost normal height. I'm such a freaking midget.
Oh my jeebus look at that zipper on the back. These shoes are too hookerish for words. But they make me so freakin' tall normal-height. This is just one of the two pairs of L.A.M.B. shoes I got in my much anticipated shipment from Amazon (they have AMAZING shoe deals every now and then...the other pair was under $100 which is awesome considering the reg price was well over $200). Maybe I'll photograph the other pair some other time.
I'm totally rambling. I blame it on lack of sleep. I will say that I had a ton of fun photographing these babies. The 50mm prime takes such beautiful photos but it's a bit of a pain sometimes since it's all manual focus.
Yesterday was good. Went to a couple of NYE get-togethers. The first one was at Sara and Damon's. Quite nearly ate and drank myself into a coma (couldn't help it, food was awesome!). Showed up to the next gathering tipsy and played Rock Band (I got the microphone because I pretty much suck at everything else even when I'm sober...which I wasn't at the time) and Apples to Apples. And ate. And drank. Ended up making the long, foggy drive back to Orange County at maybe 4am or so and didn't get to bed until well past 5...which sucked because we had to get up at 8:30 today :P
And with that I leave you with a couple self-portraits I took after getting home this evening. I look like hell. End of the day after having alcohol, too much food and very little sleep. All the boozing, eating and weird sleep schedule-ing is starting to catch up to me. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm kind of glad we're resuming a regular work schedule after this week. I could use the routine.
I didn't even brush my hair this morning. Actually, up until maybe the 30th or something I hadn't brushed it for a month or so...but VV brushed it for me while we watched Project Runway in bed one night. Heh. I sound like a brat.
That turtleneck is so old. I think I bought it freshman year of college.
Okay I need to stop rambling and get to sleep. So tired.
edit: those are the l.a.m.b. "shauna" platform sandals in gunmetal.
