l. so we could buy alcohools r. rapt audience

So yeah Steve awesomely tracked down tickets for Sunday's sold out show at the Palladium as an early birthday gift for me sooooo that means I finally got to see the Yeah Yeah Yeahs! So I picked up Brian in Brentwood before heading off to Hollywood to see Karen O prance around in her Christian Joy couture whilst screaming into a microphone.

We mostly missed the openers (who were they again?), catching only the tail end of the second band's set (sort of, we were getting wristbands and buying beer while they were playing). I was so out of place. I did not have skinny jeans or tattoos and my glasses were not of the thick black framed variety. And I am asian. But never mind all of that.

We went up to the balcony and ended up on the end verrry close to the stage and unable to see anything other than the front of the stage (everything else was obscured by the curtain) but it gave me an unobstructed view of miss Karen (most of the time at least) and a place to steady my camera (which they did not confiscate YAY). It was a good show--a mix of songs from Fever to Tell and Show Your Bones plus one song that I think must have been totally new because no one in the audience seemed to know it. She played my favorite off of Show Your Bones (Cheated Hearts) but she didn't play my favorite off of Fever to Tell (Pin) so after the show I had to go to my car and play it for myself on my CD player :( Anyway, I would totally go see them again so if they ever come back and anyone wants to go I am soooo there!

I took about a jillion pictures of Karen O trying to get a few clear ones of each of her costumes. Most of them turned out kind of crappy but here are the slightly less crappy ones.
