M: (about her childhood in Vietnam) We'd get a cricket...and tie a strand of a girl's hair around it--you know because girls have long hair. And then we'd spin it around and around so when you let it go it's all confused...and that's how you make them fight. Midterm in about an hour and a half. Then come back here to finish packing. Then the very lovely April will taxi me to the airport like the dear roommate she is. Then I will be flying on a jet plane to someplace other than here. Have a good Memorial Day weekend folks. I know I will.
