Fat free cream cheese tastes like *blech*

Back to my story.

Okay so five of us head out to Cabazon after I get off of work on Saturday. Nice weather, some heavy traffic, and the bf's car. Well, we had just reached the end of the 60 east and had just gotten onto the 10 when BAM a huge accident-induced traffic jam. So we stopped...and then we really stopped. The car just died right there. He was able to start it up and get it going just long enough to pull over, but that's about it.

I tried calling a bunch of people at UCR, but they all either didn't have access to a car or had already gone home. A highway patrol car pulled up next to us to find out what the problem was, and told us they were on their way to the accident and would come back and check up on us later.

We sat there for a while. The traffic cleared up. After we'd been on the shoulder for about 40 minutes, I called up triple A and told them what had happened. They sent a tow truck that got there at around seven. The driver asked us where we were headed and we told him Cabazon. He was like "You're so close!" so he towed the car over to the tow place and then drove the five of us to Cabazon in his wife's car =) After we were done shopping, he came with the tow truck and car and we all crammed into the cab. It was a tight squeeze and mighty uncomfortable, but I was so tired that I still managed to sleep for about half of the drive.

We were so hungry afterward that the bf took his sister's car and drove us all to Alertos, where we could finally get some food, after not eating all day. Mmm...

We went back to Irvine to drop off H, K, and K and get my car. I followed the bf home and fell asleep there for about 15 minutes before heading to my place. I was so exhausted. I've never had that much trouble staying awake on the road before =P

So yes, that was my little weekend adventure.

Oh yeah, the highway patrol officer never came back ;P
