Sar just left for home with Damy about 45 minutes ago. Shame, it was fun.It was somewhat strange, this whole weekend. Strange in a good way.
Sar had come in Friday at around noon. We bummed around until Apes had to leave for class. Sar and I walked to In n Out (that's what a hamburger's all about) to meet Poker. I haven't seen him in quite a while. Anyway, we were there for one or two hours before we went back to school. Sar and I just bummed around until Apes got back and we went to go eat with dorm people, and then went out with the Skim
Sar and I were up late that night, so when Apes went swimming we opted to stay in. Apes had work so we were on our own for a while. I "aired out my guest" at around two on Saturday by taking a walk around campus, ending with a stop at the bookstore and Cornerstone where I got a smoothie type thing and tried chocolate covered espresso beans. That whole wandering around and stuff felt quite odd. For some reason I felt like we were on one of our school trips to, say, Hawaii or San Diego or something. It was the whole feel of it. The warm weather, the looking at the things in the bookstore like tourists or something. The campus was devoid of students and had an impressive number of tour groups. That must have added to the feel.
The most interesting thing we found in the bookstore was a little card with this filo dough stuff on it (sp?). It was supposed to be a bride and groom, but the groom's head had fallen off and was sitting at the bottom of the plastic package. I cracked up like nothing else. I would have bought it but I think $3 is a bit much for some useless entertainment.
Sar and I had come back and chillaxed until Ape came back from work with UJ's car. We made a brief excursion to South Coast Plaza and stayed there until it closed (very early) and then headed over to Tenko for some good cheap J food.
We headed back to the dorm to get ready for a party at a nearby apartment. Yes, I went to a party. I, the home girl, went to a party.
Now that you've picked your jaws up off the floor, allow me to tell you how it went down.
Skim and Sunnyshine took us, with Sunnyshine as the DD. It was a 21st birthday party so there were quite a few drunk crazy people. No I did not drink (c'mon now you know me...) I just had a little water that I smelled and tasted before I drank it.
We left at two--waaay before the party broke up--and went back to the dorm. Apes went to sleep at about three, but Sar and I did some more chillaxin with some dorm people. I finally saw that Korean Kiss video that I kept hearing about on P's computer. Fo sheezies, it was kind of sad but I wasn't crying. I don't cry at movies and stuff, but I'm not coldhearted as someone claimed me to be.
I stayed up for a while talking to Dirty D and Sar. I went to bed at six, but Sar was up much, much later *wink* (kidding!)
Today was rather kick back. Sar and I went to lunch while Apes was out with her family. Damy took me and Sar to dinner before my concert. UJ, Ape, Sar, and Damy came to watch me play for like, two seconds (thanks guys).
As I was saying, it was a good weekend. It's tenth week and I'm stressing over all the work I have this week (that I should be doing instead of blogging) and of the labs I have to finish up. Finals are next week. I rather like the atmosphere of the school around finals time. It feels so...academic. Anyhow, I think it's time for me to finally get down and dirty with my homework. I'm out like I'm out.
