-A light rain
I have nothing to say about the first night except that it felt very long and ended relatively early. I had trouble sleeping. The second night (yesterday night) was quite interesting. Since Leah was back we met up with him and went to Santa Monica. It was me, Scam, O, and Leah. We had dinner at CPK and then spent a little time wandering around Third Street Promenade. Most of the things were closed, so we stood and watched the people performing in the streets. There was one guy that was basically demanding money before he would balance a stove on his mouth and there was this one kid who looked like he was around 10-12 who had a really nice voice. And he was playing the electric guitar at the same time. There were these two guys tap dancing to "I'm a Thug" which was all very interesting. Urban Outfitters was open later than the rest of the stores, so we wandered in there for a while. Leah put this huge floppy hat on me and told me I could be Alicia. Then he told me I looked funny...haha. We left and went to Starbucks. From there we went to Sunflower's house and tapped on her window. She was already sleeping by the time we got there so she irritatedly told us to go away because she thought that we were her cousin. Once she realized that we weren't, she got up and opened the window. Leah and I played the DMX game with her, but she kept using the word "hamper" (the DMX game is not that easy to explain in writing...so I'm not going to try) so Leah told her to use the word "blinds" instead. We made plans to meet up for breakfast next Tuesday and play the game there (tell me if you guys are up for Tuesday morning, okay?? It's me, Leah, Sunflower, and Scam so far...) When we left (this is quite embarassing) I couldn't figure out why my key wouldn't turn in the car door. Turns out it wasn't my car. The worst part was that no one else noticed that it wasn't my car until I realized it a few minutes later. It was good for a laugh though. I felt like quite the moron. Anyhow, I dropped off O and Scam and then went to drop off Leah. By then it had started drizzling. We saw that two of the three lanes of the street were blocked off. Turns out it was a sobriety checkpoint. It was all good because I was (of course) sober...but I was having trouble finding my license. The first officer sent me over to another one and I looked for it some more while Leah made small talk with the officer. I finally found it, thank fricken goodness, because if I hadn't, I would have been towed =X According to the officer, they can tow about 100 car in a night because they don't have their licenses. So remember all, carry your license! These sobriety checkpoints are quite random.
It was a fun night. I haven't laughed that much in a while. Now we just need to find a good place to eat breakfast. The only place that comes to mind is Colonial Kitchen in San Marino. It's small and in all honesty I don't remember what the food was like (it's been years) but they have (if I remember correctly) some fricken A goooood hot chocolate.
