I left a note for the Aiyah chick yesterday about the new Lois-Ann Yamanaka book. I recently bought one of her other books that I read and liked. Turns out her newest isn't all that great. Maybe I won't get it after all....I guess I've been on some sort of book-buying binge. I was thinking that I should read more over the summer, and that I should do more recreational reading when the school year starts. Soooo I brought a bunch of books with me. Most of them I've read. I have BNW, Kitchen, Sybil, Candide, The Color Purple, The Mayor of Casterbridge, 1984, and Wild Meat and the Bully Burgers with me in my dorm room. I'm reading The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand right now. Let me tell you, it's a looong book, and I don't get too much reading done here at school. It's not too bad, but I think it would be better if I read more in one sitting. I've broken it up so much that I forget what happened sometimes. I still need to read Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto. I bought it a couple weeks ago when I bought Wild Meat and the Bully Burgers in Old Town Pasadena. I'm not too sure what it's about, but it's supposed to be good...I'll find out. Sooner or later.

Apes and I are rubbing off on eachother music-wise. She's complaining that I'm ghetto-fying her with my mainstream hip-hop/r&b stuff. I'm starting to like some of her Dashboard among other things on her playlist. It's great, because mp3 transfer between us takes only a few seconds.

Damy said we could go to the ARC together after we're both done with classes at around 3:20. I sure hope we both feel up to it by then, because I really really need to go. Hahah....I hope I can find my goggles =\
