I had difficulty sleeping the night before, don't remember why. In any case, I think I'm getting to old to get by on less than 4 hours of sleep. I did somehow manage to sort of last until 1am that night. Couple coworkers came by later in the evening. I went to sleep before they left, though.

Went on an online shopping binge. Shoes and perfume samples. Ever since discovering that the perfume I discovered I loved was discontinued less than one year after finding it (WHY) I've been frantically trying to find a new one while at the same time ebaying the discontinued fragrance so I have a stash to tide me over until I find a new favorite. I got a bunch of samples from IndieScents and LuckyScent and some pick me ups from Demeter and have been trying out one or two different scents a day. I can't stand the one I tried today. I think it's Acqua di Sale (supposed to be beachy) and it's so weirdly incensey (from the cedarwood?) and heavy on me that I can almost taste it in the back of my throat. NO GO. Just as well, it's a $240 bottle (holy crap).

I got those weird paper tube things in a package. They fit very well on my legs and VV wanted to take a picture. So there.

EggSlut and Handsome Coffee with Lina on Sunday. Perfectly scrambled eggs in a sandwich for me, tasty egg burger for her. Espressos with milk for both of us (had to try the coffee because it's special coffee, I think).

Had our wedding food/cake tasting on Wednesday. Everyone should get excited about dinner because I know I am! Even though I probably won't get to eat any of it while it's still hot :(

I don't see the point of me posting about my New Year's resolutions when I make them (when I make them, which is pretty much never). Odds are, I won't adhere to it and will likely forget about it by February.

I actually made one this year, though! And it wasn't "lose weight" (which is pretty much a given almost every year because it never happens) though ironically I have lost weight in the past few months. I resolved to take better care of my skin, partially inspired by the argan oil goodies Xin had given me for xmas and maybe partially motivated by the terrifying zit I spawned around the same timeframe. I've been washing my face twice a day (before I'd sometimes I'd only wash it once a day on days I didn't wear makeup) and using about 5 products on my face afterward (some sort of hyaluronic acid toner, undereye serum, argan oil on my lips topped with a balm, moisturizer). Also, sunsceen. I wear it probably maybe 60-70% of the time (sometimes I forget) as opposed to 20-25% of the time (which might be a generous estimate).

So far so good. No terrible breakouts thus far, even when PMSing. But anyway. Good job me.

Mmmm there are Diddy Riese cookies (P. Diddy cookies according to VV) and delicious, delicious Garrett Chicago Mix popcorn in the office kitchen. Bad for diet, but oh-so-good.
