Freaking Monday
I look like shizzlenit today I mean seriously. I had to throw together an outfit because I forgot to bring what I was going to wear to VV's last night and didn't realize it until this morning (gah). I also did not brush my hair after washing it (well, not until this afternoon) and my shoes are not good w/ these jeans and I'm wearing no makeup and my eyes are puffy due to what possibly might be a combination of allergies and lack of sleep.
I took a way-too-long nap yesterday after getting a total of maybe 9 or 10 hours of sleep over the weekend. Blasted. What that meant was that I could not fall asleep last night until late aaand now I'm tired.
Congrats to Irv and Esther! They got married just last Saturday and I think they left for their honeymoon today.
Also, happy birthday to the the lame one who turned 24 on Saturday!

About Vegas...
I was drunk both Friday and Saturday afternoon
First afternoon was due to an oversized margarita. Second afternoon was thanks to champagne brunch. I was not drunk either night. I think I might actually prefer dancing sober, except for the feet hurting part (they don't hurt so badly if you've had a few!)
We hit four clubs (three of them in one night!) and didn't pay cover for any of them
If you go to Vegas w/ a group of girls, walk around the strip and in the hotels in the morning and afternoon. You get on a lot of guestlists that way. No cover and a short wait later and you're in Pure/Tao/wherever.
I only bought one drink at the clubs we went to
An $8 bottle of Voss at Pure. They don't have tap water and I was parched.
WTF do people even bother making conversation in clubs
I can barely hear myself. I can't hear you at all. And I feel stupid asking you to repeat yourself five times.
You can get girls delivered to your door in 20 minutes
Or so I heard.
Bellagio's brunch is worth the extra money
Not that more expensive than Rio and the food is way better (well, at least I thought so)
I think we might have had more fun hanging around the room than out in the clubs
Except no one tells us to be quiet when we're partying it up in the clubs *sigh*
It was an omega good trip :) Thanks girls!

holy shatmonkeys
so i read this old post about getting a top of the line mac when i get a real job (which I didn't do but that's not the point...)
when I get a steady job I'm going to treat myself to a top of the line Apple notebook. By then they'll have cinema display and still be only, like, 3 lbs
so um yeah now we have the macbook air which has a widescreen display aaaaand is only 3lbs (at least the 13" one is). cool.
(btw the macbook air is not news to me, but i just happened to find that blog post today so that's why i'm posting about it today. and yes a vegas post will be coming sometime in the future but if you're impatient just check the flickr okay)

Back again
My head is a bit cloudy due to weekend exhaustion and a long drive. The slightly raw feeling on the bottoms of my feet as well as the faint ache in my leg joints are reminders of the excessive walking and dancing (in 4-inch heels to boot!) of the past few days.
My wallet, however, is not nearly as depleted as I thought it would be come Monday.
Weekend updates to come!

oh god i can't stop eating gummy vites.
it's a good thing they don't make gummy advil or gummy sleeping pills or gummy ant poison because i would most certainly be dead by now.

HAPPY PI DAY EVERYONE!
So getting my blood drawn was about fifty-eight times worse this time around than last time. First, I had to wait for over an hour. At least I had my iPod + wireless connection (hence the very sad blog I posted earlier this morning) and a roomful of outspoken pregnant women (they were all trying to drink some sort of sugary lemon-lime drink so they could get their glucose something or other tested?) to keep me entertained (I don't think I ever want kids).
Last time I got blood drawn it didn't really hurt. It was a bit uncomfortable towards the end, but there wasn't any real pain. But this time? OW OW OW. The phlebotomist didn't know what she was doing or I was extra nervous or lying down really does make a difference (I was sitting up this time) but this time it HURT.
When I was done and got into the car I wanted to cry but I didn't want my makeup running all over my face. Ah, vanity.
I don't know what happened to me over the past 15 years. When my brother and I were young, he was always the one crying and running from the nurse when it came time for vaccinations. I always sat patiently and didn't struggle at all.
Fast forward to the present: he has a cartilage piercing yet the mere thought of a measly flu shot sends me into a panic.
I really hope my bloodwork comes back a-ok or else I'm guessing my prescription dosage will change and I'll have to go in for more bloodwork...which means more needles :( :( :(

I'm at the diagnostics lab and I'm scared out of my pants. Plus there's a long wait and this iPod is going to die soon helpppp

noooooooooo
I HAVE TO GET MORE BLOODWORK DONE
AHHHH
Back to the phlebotomist (noooo) I wonder if they'll make me lie down to get my blood taken again. I'm such a baby when it comes to needles. I hope I don't cry.

Link time!
Ahahahaha I realize I'm late to jump on this bandwagon but this is hilarious!
(I linked the Soulja Boy/MC Hammer vid since everyone's already seen the Thriller one already)
Oh and because it is kind of cool...one of my photos was included in Schmap's SF guidebook! Go here and look at the entry for Rose Pistola.

Asian Cholas!
I'm sure most of you have heard the Lean Like a Cholo parody Lean Like a Chola and dude. If this song does not describe a good chunk of Asian girls during the 90's (minus the cultural references, obviously) (well maybe just where I lived) (and no, not me because I was a dork). Right?
Never mess with a chick
With lipliner, no lipstick
Wanna look good I'll tell you how
First you gotta paint on your eyebrows
Spray your hair with Aquanet
Get a tattoo to rep. your set
Right?!
