Biology is in Yosemite this week. It's a lot quieter without them around. I've noticed that. Oishiri has noticed that. Actually, the term she used was "more peaceful". Don't get me wrong, I love my friends, but sometimes enough is enough. I've learned through painful experience that after a while we can't stand eachother.
Speaking of which, I wonder how they're getting along in Yosemite.

HAHAHA...That's really great though, a big chance to be on TV... and all you get to show is your backside. What a rip off.
Dying.. midterm tomorrow. Agh.. can't believe there's a midterm a week and a half before finals... what is this madness?!?!?
|

I know that being the opening band is supposed to be a good thing, but I can't help thinking that if we weren't...I might have actually been facing the camera. I'm thinking that maybe it's a good thing that you missed the coverage. =X
Song of the moment: Case, Missing You. I don't know why. I just like it right now.
It's getting late. Actually, it's been late for a while. School tomorrow. Practice tomorrow. Well...today.
Whatever.

New look! wow, I haven't been here in a while... It's interesting! Though, white text on a dark background sorta hurts...
I missed out on the Christmas parade. Darn, I could have caught some BOOTY on my screen. ERT. Woulda been big booty too, on the 55in big screen we got. Why am I mentioning this? Because it turns out that I will be the one paying for it. OUCH.
Hmm, remember last week in the last week or so when I was talking about dying because I was so tired? Well, I just watched Gladiator, and here's a great quote from it:
Death smiles at us all, all a man can do is smile back.
That was Russell Crowe, towards the end, in case you haven't seen it. Great movie. Now that I think of it, maybe i'll watch it again.
Side note, your blog doesn't like me. I'm still having to manually put in the html codes! sad.

Kat is blowdrying her hair. I wonder what color my hair would be if I blowdryed it every day. I'd probably be blonde. =X

I'm in a pretty good mood right now. I'm a little sore from yesterday, around the neck area. I'm a flute. That's what happens.
So anyway, I'm trying to keep myself in a good mood. What do I have to look forward to? Hmmm...winter break isn't going to be for a while. I have some pretty nasty hwk due in the next couple of weeks. What do I have to look forwards to?
Well, I finally got my UC application sent in. RELIEF! Yes...! Now all I've got to worry about is...USC. Dangit. I can work on it over winter break though. Yay fo life.
|
|
Blah blah blah. Yes the parade was today. Whatever. We screwed up. It was more interesting outside of the TV area. Someone threw a stink bomb. It wasn't too bad, but it smelled like sulfur for a little while. I stepped on something and it made a little bang. I don't know what it was. Yeah. Sar got a blob of yellow Silly String shot at her leg. Our director got a ton of it shot straight at her head. She wasn't too happy. I think she was getting whistled at too. Or maybe they were whistling at the drill memebers. I don't know. I have bits of red carpet stuck in my spats. I saw Alex Trebek getting his nose powdered. I haven't seen the video footage yet. Word has it that the front rank got their butts on tv. Yay. I must catch one of the reruns.
|
|
So anyway...I actually got out today. Went out to dinner. Walked around. Saw some alumni...very interesting. It was for Trace's birthday. She's turning 18 very soon. So yeah, we went to my house to quickly open her gifts.
The parade is tomorrow. Not looking forward to it really. I'm going to wind up with blisters all over my feet and my arms are going to fall off. I'm in the front. Look for me.

Woohoo...this new template thingie means I don't have to indent the first paragraph anymore.
But I still have to indent the second one. Darn.
|
|
Fixed the sentence. Don't know about the template.
|
|
Oishiri is sending me pictures of guys that is is getting off of some dating site.
Hmm. let's read that sentence again. And why would she be on a dating site in the first place?
What's new... let me see. Nothing, really, except USC's really pathetic football team beat UCLA again! whee! 2 in a row... yea yea, it doesn't match up to the 8 year UCLA streak, yet.
Oh yeah, Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles is REALLY AWESOME. Who would have ever thought that having fried chicken and waffles together in one meal could be so good? hahaha. It definitely IS.
Oh... HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
PS. I had to edit this post and manually enter html code for carriage returns. Kelly, what is up with your blog template?

Thanks for being such an awesome friend...
All I did was send a little birthday greeting to a friend, but she responded with a very appreciative thank-you email. It's amazing what little things can make a person happy. I mean, it wasn't much, but I suppose it's the thought behind it.
I'm glad that Blogger is up and running again. And you are too...right? I'm sure you missed me....
Oishiri is sending me pictures of guys that she is getting off of some dating site. Too funny for words. There is one guy who is flexing w/o a shirt. He has got muscle, but he's also kind of on the skinny side. The other guy has the thug thing going on, looking hardcore w/ his tattoo. He claims to hate smokers and drinkers. Well good for him. They're both asian, by the way. Anyway, they claim to be looking for "friends". Uh huh....sure.
|
|
I wonder if this will post...?
|
|
Hmm. I didn't see a bunch of these posts I'm reading on blogger.com on your webpage. Funny. The last entry I saw was "11/14/2000."
Okay, haven't really posted lately because school's been sucking pretty badly. LABS LABS LABS! Well, now labs are just about over, but, LAB PROJECTS just happen to coincide with the ending of labs. blah. End of semester in ENGINEERING really sucks, BADLY.
OK. Must die now, byebye.
-Don't die....

Ennui...
That was one of our vocabulary words junior year. I suppose I have some form of it or another. BOREDOM. Senior year is not fun.
Hollywood Christmas Parade on Sunday. We're the lead off band. Opening act. Look for us!
|

Kelly you retard!
I turn off the light as soon as I leave my room. Even when there are people inside. I turn on the light and close the door as soon as I enter it. It's habit.
Me, Leahcimar, Apes, Scam and Trace were all over at my house working on our senior ad. We're splitting a spread between six people (Oishiri couldn't make it). The yearbook people better not screw up. Anyway, we went on a Starbucks run (Starburst run). We should do that more often.

I'd like to be a stripper because I like the clothes...
The things that come out of that girl's mouth never cease to amaze me...
Darn, they redid the lettering on the door of the Psycho Office. Now it's the Psychologist Office. I think I liked it better before the change.

Private schools are a pain in the ass
I just got off the phone with Sar. She had called to remind me that the CSS profile is due by tomorrow. I found that out today, because I got a nice application deadline reminder that advised me to log onto collegeboard.com to fill out my CSS profile registration if I hadn't already. So yes, I panicked and rushed to the computer to register. I can't believe I'm putting all this time and energy into applying to one college that is probably going to reject me anyway.
It is freezing right now. Mornings are hell on earth. We have marching pratice, and my fingers get so cold that I can't feel them after a couple of minutes.
I was in the yearbook room looking at old yearbooks at lunch today. Sunflower Girl and I were looking at the 1981 yearbook, trying to find her auntie. We found a lot of hair. People had big hair then. Even the guys. I wonder what people will think of our yearbook pictures in 20 years.
BTW...Irv...I saw your freshman pic =)

"Let's go to a restaurant to eat...I don't want Mistuwa food."
Well, we didn't go out to lunch. We had food already, and I didn't have time. So blah.
I am incredibly sick of school. There is far too much to worry about, and it's neverending. It's always the same old thing over and over...homework homework homework.

"Hello Kitty sat dreaming about small pigs. One day she hoped to be a "call girl" . If I sleeps hard I can be whatever I want to be, she thought. Her parents always slept with her. One day, you could be a weak-willed, underage babysitter, said mama. Or perhaps a sewer systems engineer, added papa. I think you should be a convicted child molester and rapist just like grandpa, said grandma. Hello Kitty picked up her whips and went into the bedroom. Feeling a bit hard, she decided to make a big batch of cat-o-nine-tails and leather handcuffs for her family. "
Oishiri is just too much...

"When does it close???"
Another day, another Starbucks frap. Caramel. Third day in a row. Today we went at ten before twelve...ten minutes before closing. Mogy, Morsel, Uika, Juniper and I left the dance early and stopped by *bucks on the way home. Yum.
What I forgot to say yesterday...I saw this guy from my summer class at the Starbucks yesterday. It was weird. I never expected to see any of those people ever again after the class ended. And there he was, sitting there studying and drinking coffee.
I just finished my coffee. My hands are cold.

Idano Potatos
Asian jibberish is so much fun to read...
Anyhow, Kat and I went to this place and took sticker pictures. Interesting...
Well, that's only one of them. She's the one on the left.
Can't stop drinking coffee. Bad bad BAD. I went to the mall today to go get a birthday gift for my dad. There is a Starbucks there. I couldn't help myself.
It is the best feeling in the world just to be able to wander around in a crowd and still feel alone. Well...maybe not. But I think I needed some solitude, because after I got back from the mall I was in a much better mood. I need to do that more often.

"Yes I count out exact change...so sue me"
Yes, I am one of those annoying people that hold up lines because they are trying to count out exact change...to the penny. Which is why I always run out of change.
Today was homecoming. We actually won! By quite a lot, actually. Woohoo. So yeah, after the game Trace and I went on another coffee run. My mouth feels waxy.
My brother and I go to different schools. He is a sophomore, I am a senior. Why is he at the homecoming dance at my school when I'm not? Hahah...interesting, isn't it. He's more social than I am. Obviously.
Ah screw it. I'm going to shower tomorrow morning.

"Cause Gore's a hottie"
And that would be the reason why the majority of women voted for Gore? I should think not.
I should also add that she was kidding when she said that.
|
|
"Pres Summmary"
Nobody's perfect. CBS is no exception.
Like whoa. Looks like Bush is leading. Go figure. Anyway, I doubt he'll win. I'm guessing that Gore will take Florida. We'll see...
*They corrected the typo...darn

Ok, I feel cheated. blogger lost two of my posts this past week... one on my page, and one here. grr. I forgot what I posted about, so that's it... Nothing to say today.
|
|
"It's gross...it looks like rabbit poop"
I find it hard to believe that Morsel and I are not related. She's one of the few I know who dislike boba. I can't say I'm crazy about it either. They put too much tapioca in the drink. I like my coffee. Which reminds me...Trace, Doris and I went on a coffee run after the game on Friday. Morsel reccomends the caramel frappuccino, but I needed a hot drink. It was freezing.
I feel so lazy.
It's going to be a good week. Not only is it short (no school on Friday woohoo) but it's also the week of homecoming. Shortened day on Thursday...half hour classes! I get to catch up on my rest...
I got an email during the summer that was geared towards seniors. It basically said to enjoy everything while it's still there. I was thinking about it on the way back from the band review yesterday. I realized that everything I'm doing, I'm doing for the last time. Then I realized that I didn't care. Sad...no? Up until the first day of school this year I thought I was going to miss high school. Now...I have my doubts.

"I can picture her with a guy...boy..."
Yesterday we were predicting eachothers futures. What was mine...um...move to a nice neighborhood in Southern California with my dark gray SC 430 and my masters. Get married in my early thirties and maybe have one kid. Trace said it would be a girl. Sunflower Girl said it would be a boy. I said I wouldn't have a kid.
Got my SAT scores today. Hahah...it dropped 110 points. Embarassing, yes, but not the end of the world.
We didn't do quite as badly as I anticipated at the band review. We got the highest music score in our division...and the lowest marching score...172 or something. That would be about 28 marching errors. Anyhow, we ended up in third place. Not bad considering we never place.

Do Not Peel/or thou dost becomst a heel
I thought I lost one of my english textbooks. I found out I didn’t, but only after I checked out a new book. Now I have two books, but I don’t want to give up the new one I checked out. It’s a “smart” book. I looked on the inside cover and it had the name of one of our past valedictorians in it. There was also the above phrase written on a blue post-it sticking to it. I wonder who wrote it.
There’s a band review tomorrow. I have no faith in our performance.
The November SATs are tomorrow as well. But that doesn’t matter because I’m not taking them =D. Taking them junior year is one of the best decisions I have ever made. It is a huge weight off my shoulders. Maybe I should have taken them this month...but it’s not like my scores have been getting better. They’ve been on the decline since the PSATs last year.
There's a football game today. I'm not taking the SATs so I have to stay for the whole game. Bleh. We're going down....I think.
